Plain-language summary of how Together Wellness handles your data. This is a template for a two-person personal project, not a substitute for legal advice.
What this is
Together Wellness is a private, invite-only, non-commercial project built for two people. It is not a medical device, not a replacement for the Oura app, and not a continuous or emergency health-monitoring service.
Where your data comes from
Oura Ring → the Oura mobile app → Oura Cloud → this application, via the official Oura API. This app never talks to your ring directly, and data can only be as fresh as your last Oura app sync.
What we store
Only the fields this app's features actually use — not raw API payloads. Every stored record keeps its source and sync timestamps so you can see how fresh it is.
How long we keep it
Imported Oura data is retained for 13 months by default to support trend and comparison features, then automatically purged. You can export or delete your data at any time from Settings → Data, and account deletion happens immediately when you confirm it.
Sharing with your partner
Nothing is shared with your partner unless you explicitly turn sharing on for that category. You choose private, summary-only, or detailed sharing per category, and changes take effect immediately. Pausing sharing or disconnecting stops your partner from seeing new data right away.
No AI processing of your health data
Your Oura data, tokens, and any derived health information are never sent to Claude, OpenAI, or any other AI provider. Weekly recaps are generated with deterministic rules, not AI.
What we don't do
We don't store your Oura password (you connect via Oura's own OAuth login), we don't store workout location/route data, and we don't market this app, sell data, or allow public sign-ups.
Your controls
Reconnect or disconnect Oura, revoke any sharing category instantly, hide specific dates, pause all sharing, unpair from your partner, export your data, or delete your account — all from Settings.
